1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using FET Timetable Explorer (the "Application") at fetviewer.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. **This includes mandatory agreement to our data collection practices, including third-party analytics cookies, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.** If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Application.

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FET Timetable Explorer ("we," "us," or "our").

FET Timetable Explorer is a free web application that provides:

• Visualization of timetables generated by FET (Free Timetabling Software)
• Filtering and searching capabilities for activities, teachers, rooms, and student groups
• Conflict detection and validation tools
• Entity management for subjects, teachers, rooms, groups, days, and time slots
• CSV import/export functionality
• Drag-and-drop activity rescheduling
• Print-friendly timetable views
• **Optional cloud-saving and sharing of timetable data via our secure servers.**

The Application primarily operates in your web browser, but certain features involve **server-side data storage and transmission** as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Relationship with FET Software

FET (Free Timetabling Software) is an open-source application developed by Liviu Lalescu for automated timetable generation. Key points about our relationship with FET:

• FET Timetable Explorer is an independent visualization tool
• We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the FET project or its developers
• FET Timetable Explorer is designed to work with CSV files exported from FET
• The Application does not replace or compete with FET; it complements it

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Application only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

• Use the Application in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Application or our servers
• Interfere with or disrupt the Application's functionality
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Application without permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application
• Remove or modify any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
• Use the Application to transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code

4.2 Data Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy and legality of timetable data you upload.
• **The content of any data you choose to save to our server or share using our services.**
• Maintaining backups of your timetable data.
• Ensuring compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR) when handling student and teacher information.
• Obtaining necessary permissions before saving or sharing timetables that contain personal information.
• Verifying the accuracy of schedules before relying on them.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 Application Ownership

The Application, including its code, design, graphics, and documentation, is owned by FET Timetable Explorer and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Your Data

You retain all rights to the timetable data you upload to the Application. By using the Application's **cloud-saving or sharing features,** you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, host, and display that specific data solely for the purpose of providing the service you requested (i.e., making it viewable via a share link or retrievable to you).

5.3 License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application for your personal or institutional timetable management purposes.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of information provided
• Warranties that defects will be corrected

We do not warrant that the Application will meet your requirements or expectations.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
• We shall not be liable for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, including loss of server-stored timetable data.
• We shall not be liable for any scheduling errors, conflicts, or issues arising from use of the Application.
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Application (which is zero, as the service is free).

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FET Timetable Explorer, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Application.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any third-party rights.
• Your timetable data or its use, **including data you store on our servers.**

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Our collection and use of information is governed by our Privacy Policy. **Key points to note and accept:**

• While data processing begins locally, **timetable data is transmitted to and stored on our secure servers** when you use cloud-saving features.

• Timetable data you save on our servers is **retained for a limited period** and can be deleted by you.

10. Service Availability

10.1 Maintenance and Downtime

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application or **any server-side features** at any time.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide notice of significant changes or extended downtime.

10.2 No Guarantee of Service

As a free service, we make no guarantees about:

• Continuous availability.
• Response times or performance.
• Support or bug fixes.
• Long-term maintenance or **data persistence for server-stored timetables.**

11. Third-Party Services

The Application integrates with **mandatory** third-party services, including:

• Google Analytics
• Microsoft Clarity
• External documentation or resources

We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

12. Export Restrictions

The Application may be subject to export control laws. You agree to comply with all applicable export and re-export restrictions and regulations.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
• We may display a notification in the Application.
• Significant changes will require your renewed acceptance.

Your continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

14. Termination

14.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Application at any time. To completely remove all locally stored data, use the "Reset All Data" button or clear your browser's local storage. **To remove server-stored data, you must use the associated deletion feature.**

14.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate your access to the Application for violation of these Terms.
• Discontinue the Application entirely at our discretion.
• Block access from specific IP addresses or regions if necessary.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where FET Timetable Explorer operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Application shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FET Timetable Explorer regarding the Application and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

18. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
